Architectural Designer - BIM & Computational Design
Your tasks
Brief Summary
- This role may suit an Architectural Designer, BIM Coordinator or BIM Technologist who wants to remain deeply involved in architectural project delivery.
- Architecture is your foundation; BIM and computational delivery are your specialist strengths. You will own real architectural work packages while building cleaner, faster and more reliable ways of coordinating and producing project information.
- You should be equally comfortable resolving a plan or detail, federating models, improving a Revit environment and asking whether repetitive project effort can be automated.
- Contribute directly to concept design, design development, multi disciplinary coordination, tender documentation and construction-stage delivery.
- Own defined architectural work packages under the Project Architect / Digital Delivery Lead.
- Develop coordinated architectural BIM models and produce plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and construction documentation.
- Establish and maintain Revit project environments, templates, families, shared parameters and BIM standards.
- Support BIM Execution Plans (BEP), information requirements and model coordination protocols.
- Federate architectural, structural and MEP models; identify issues and work with consultants to resolve them.
- Conduct model health checks, clash detection, model audits and digital QA/QC.
- Develop automated model checking, reporting and production workflows using Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper or other appropriate tools.
- Support tender queries, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, site coordination and project updates within your experience level.
- Act as a roving BIM/computational capability across projects while retaining hands-on architectural delivery responsibility.
- Train and mentor teams in Singapore and across their international network; turn successful workflows into reusable standards and playbooks.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent built-environment discipline with strong architectural project experience.
- Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience; exceptional candidates outside this range may be considered.
- Strong practical Autodesk Revit capability and experience producing coordinated architectural documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in design development, architectural detailing, construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination across architecture, structural and MEP disciplines.
- Preferably at least one complete BIM project lifecycle from design through construction/completion.
- Experience with model federation, clash detection, model health and BIM QA/QC.
- Ability to develop and manage Revit templates, families, schedules and project standards.
- Ability and willingness to contribute to architectural delivery beyond BIM management.
- Curiosity about AI and its application to BIM, coordination, QA and project delivery.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, Navisworks or similar platforms.
- Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python or other scripting / automation experience.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 principles.
- Renovation, AEI, adaptive reuse, conversion or existing-building experience.
- Experience with authority submissions, tender documentation, RFIs, shop drawings or construction-stage coordination.
- Experience supporting distributed or offshore BIM teams.
