Accounting Economist for a well-known educational institution!

Then you have found the right place! Perido is seeking an accounting economist for our client, an institution at a university in Uppsala. The institution currently has nearly 300 employees, of whom seven will be your colleagues in the finance department.
In the role of accounting economist, the focus lies on preparing budgets and year-end accounts, as well as monitoring and analysis. In addition to this, ongoing financial accounting and reporting to external grant providers are included. You will also perform general administrative tasks, such as personnel matters and departmental service. We hope that you can contribute a new perspective on how the financial and administrative routines can be further developed and managed even better!
You who apply have worked long enough with similar tasks to quickly be able to familiarize yourself with formal criteria and find answers to questions regarding project financing. You find it easy to prioritize among your tasks and you perform them independently and structurally with great responsibility. Furthermore, you are a meticulous person with a sense of service. When you see opportunities, you also take initiative, but can be flexible and value good collaboration with your colleagues. Since the work involves many contact surfaces, great importance will be placed on your personality.

Requirements profile
- University degree with a focus on economics
- Experience in qualified financial work including the preparation of budgets and year-end accounts as well as accounting and monitoring
- You express yourself very well in speech and writing, also in English
Meritorious
- Experience of working in the higher education sector or other public activities
- Experience of administering and reporting EU projects
- Knowledge of various sources of research funding
- Experience of working in large financial systems
Scope and commencement
Full-time, consulting assignment until 2019-08-08. Commencement 2019-01-06 or by agreement.
