Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer to join a prestigious automotive company based in Leeds. Duties of the Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer:

• Installing, repairing, replacing, and modifying vehicle leather interiors to an exceptional standard
• Measuring, cutting, sewing, gluing, stretching, and trimming leather components
• Disassembling and reassembling vehicle interiors efficiently
• Working with luxury materials such as leather, veneers, and precious metals
• Managing veneer repairs and developing bespoke interior trims
• Supporting pattern trials and process development initiatives
• Maintaining accurate documentation of work carried out
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior team members
• Upholding a clean, safe, and tidy workshop environment
• Representing the company positively when engaging with international distributors

Requirements of the Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer:

• 3–5 years’ experience as an Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer or Trimmer, specifically working with leather
• Experience working with luxury and prestige vehicles is desirable
• Strong skills in measuring, cutting, and working with various leather types
• Excellent sewing, gluing, stretching, and trimming skills
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail and dexterity in working from blueprints and sketches
• Practical problem-solving skills and methodical work approach
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a busy workshop
• Good communication skills and a strong command of English
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients
