Junior Data Centre Operator (12-Hour Shift + Shift Allowance)

We are seeking a Junior Data Centre Operator to support 24×7 data centre operations. This role involves continuous monitoring of systems, batch and backup jobs, incident escalation, and on-site operational support to ensure stable and secure data centre services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor server, system, and application health
• Perform batch job execution and monitoring
• Monitor and verify backup job execution and completion
• Handle alerts, escalation, and incident notifications according to SOPs
• Provide data centre visitor escorting and access support
• Support building management activities, including power and air-conditioning maintenance
• Assist with security advisories and compliance requirements
• Provide remote monitoring services
• Support and participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities
• Execute operational tasks assigned by the Project Manager
• Manage and support printing services
• Ensure all assigned operational tasks are completed within defined SLAs

Operational Accountability:

• Ensure systems and applications are continuously monitored
• Ensure all batch and backup jobs are executed successfully
• Ensure alerts and incidents are handled and escalated promptly
• Maintain accurate shift handover and operational logs

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic understanding of servers, operating systems, and data centre operations
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior data centre or NOC experience is a plus
