GCP Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a GCP Cloud Engineer to build and operate a hybrid cloud data platform that processes petabytes of data. The platform runs large scale computation jobs and supports data scientists developing AI and machine learning models. You will work with architects and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure cloud infrastructure and provide L2/L3 operational support.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and operate scalable data collection and analytics infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Support distributed computing, machine learning and agentic AI workloads.
• Deploy and manage GCP infrastructure and data services across a hybrid cloud environment.
• Build automated infrastructure using Terraform and cloud native architecture patterns.
• Implement monitoring, logging, security controls and automated incident response.
• Apply Agile practices, test driven development and CI/CD to improve delivery quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L2/L3 operational issues.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies to improve platform performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience deploying and operating production workloads on GCP, including hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong experience with GKE, Dataproc and BigQuery.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and GCP serverless services.
• Experience with Apache Spark and data formats such as Avro and Parquet.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, log analysis, automation and incident response.
• Ability to implement and validate security controls in GCP.
• Strong cloud architecture or development experience, with a GCP associate or specialist level certification.
• Experience providing L2/L3 support for production systems.
