Business Development Manager / Director (M&E Contractor)

Our client is an established M&E engineering and construction services provider in Singapore, backed by a leading global group. After a period of sustained growth, they are expanding into high-growth sectors including semiconductor, data centres, industrial facilities and commercial developments.

Your tasks

About the Role This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Chairman. You will identify and secure new opportunities across the business, build strategic client relationships and own the pipeline from first lead through to project award. It’s a high-visibility position with real influence on the company’s growth direction.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging sectors
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and industry stakeholders
• Develop and manage the pipeline from lead generation to award
• Coordinate proposals, tenders and presentations with internal teams
• Assess opportunities for strategic fit and commercial viability, with clear go / no-go recommendations
• Track market trends, client investments and competitor activity
• Work closely with business units and group companies to strengthen market positioning

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field
• 10+ years in business development, sales, tendering or key account management within the M&E, engineering or construction industry
• Proven track record in M&E, construction, industrial or infrastructure sectors
• Strong industry network and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Greenfield and brownfield project experience is an advantage
• Willingness to travel when required
