Country Lawyer and Notary - Private Company Experience

An Important Client of People Working Corp, a company dedicated to telecommunications infrastructure, located in Managua, is looking for a professional to occupy the position of Country Lawyer, with competencies in leadership, excellent communication, analytical capacity, and negotiation.

Job Objective:

Lead and manage the legal area of the Country. Prepare, follow up on, and resolve all legal matters of the company, such as: contracts, documents, agreements, and/or other legal documents required by the Country Management. Follow up on legal strategies and processes assigned to external law firms. Provide legal advice in all branches of law, based on internal policies, current legislation, and agreements entered into with third parties.

Main Job Functions:

• Prepare, follow up on, and resolve all legal matters of the company, such as: contracts, documents, agreements, and/or other legal documents required by the Country Management.
• Manage permits, licenses, powers of attorney, minutes, property registrations, or tax exemptions before the competent authorities.
• Design strategies according to the company's needs, minimizing exposure to legal risks in negotiations and project execution.
• Guide and support internal clients (company members) with Operational advice on obligations and compliance with national laws.
• Prepare and analyze commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, distributors, and strategic partners to ensure they are legally binding and protect the company's interests.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Lawyer and Public Notary. Desirable with studies and/or Master's degree in Mercantile Law, Corporate Law, or Real Estate Law and/or MBA.
• 5 years of experience as an In-House Lawyer and/or Legal Advisor for private companies with experience and solid knowledge in corporate, real estate, international, and contractual law;
• Experience in personnel management and administration of legal processes, both judicial and administrative;
• 5 years as a Public Notary.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• English language proficiency (Intermediate level).
• Driver's License.
• Valid Passport.
• Availability to travel to departments of the country.
