Machine Operative – Wigan – £13.50 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our well-established client based in Wigan.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.50 per hour, Monday-to-Friday daytime working, paid breaks, free on-site parking, full training and opportunities for career development.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Machine Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Machine Operator or Factory Operative.

Previous production or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00–15:00

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Machine Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with the operation and basic maintenance of production lines to ensure smooth and efficient processes
• Reading, understanding and following detailed work instructions to maintain quality and consistency
• Monitoring and inspecting products throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met
• Following all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Machine Operative, you will need:

• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving materials
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow work instructions accurately
• Team-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production targets

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment (advantageous but not essential)
• Availability to start work as soon as possible

Training Provided

• Company policy and procedure training provided to successful candidates
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
