IT Project Manager (Mining Sector)

An important company linked to the mining industry is looking to incorporate a Project Manager into its team, who will be responsible for leading and managing projects from start to finish, supervising activities, communicating effectively with project stakeholders, and ensuring that every aspect of the project is completed on time.

Likewise, they must foresee possible blockers and find solutions to mitigate or eliminate them so they do not impact the success of the project, in order to contribute to the achievement of organizational objectives in compliance with and support of the Integrated Management System.

Main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the client in the definition and realization of project objectives.
• Comprehensively plan projects, considering activities, resources, deadlines, and costs.
• Coordinate and direct the resources involved in each project.
• Maintain permanent communication with clients, national and foreign suppliers, subcontractors, and internal areas.
• Monitor the progress and performance of projects, timely identifying risks, deviations, and possible blockers.
• Make decisions and define corrective actions to ensure the fulfillment of established objectives.
• Be accountable to clients and superiors for the fulfillment of project objectives.
• Propose modifications to project boundaries or objectives when circumstances require it.
• Adhere to the project management framework or methodology defined by the organization.
• Prepare status reports and performance communications to facilitate decision-making.

Requirements:

• Professional degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technological project management, telecommunications, or similar areas.
• Course, workshop, or diploma in Project Management based on PMBOK or PRINCE2.
• Intermediate English level.
• Experience using project management software and tools.

Experience in the following is valued:

• OT (Operational Technology) project management.
• Management of enterprise applications projects for the mining sector.
