Business Controller to an international company in Stockholm
About the assignment and who we are looking for We are now looking for a Business Controller for an international company. Here you will have a broad role with responsibility for, among other things, budget and forecast, financial follow-up, analysis, and control for the Swedish operations. The role is suitable for you who have experience in business controlling, have approximately 5-10 years of experience, a good understanding of accounting, and thrive in a role where you independently follow up, analyze, and create understanding for the business's financial results. About the role As a Business Controller, you are responsible for preparing and following up on the budget and forecast for the Swedish operations. You continuously monitor results and deviations within, among other things, commercial development, personnel costs, and other operating costs, as well as contributing financial analyses and decision support to the local management. In the role, you will, among other things: prepare and follow up on budget and forecast
analyze financial results and follow up on deviations
follow up on personnel, supplier, and other operating costs
control and reconcile the ongoing monthly invoicing
support the accounting function in connection with the monthly closing
calculate, follow up, and report KPIs
produce reporting and analyses for local management and the group
support the business in financial and business-related queries
contribute to quality assurance in connection with the annual closing
conduct ad hoc analyses as needed
You are part of the finance function and collaborate closely with colleagues within accounting as well as with other parts of the business regarding financial follow-up and analysis. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you who have previously worked as a Business Controller and who have built up a good understanding of accounting and financial processes. You have a stable financial foundation and are confident in working independently with budget, follow-up, analysis, and reconciliations. We would prefer that you have: relevant academic education in economics, finance, or equivalent experience
experience in business controlling and financial follow-up
good understanding of accounting
experience in budget and forecast work
good knowledge of Excel
good analytical ability and a structured way of working
very good English in speech and writing
Experience in internal control as well as budgeting, reporting, or BI systems is meritorious. Who are you? We believe that you are curious, solution-oriented, and self-driven.
