Procurement Engineer

Want to further develop your first procurement experience in the chemical industry within an organization where you truly make a difference? For a stable industrial company in central West Flanders, we are looking for a Procurement Engineer. You will join a small-scale supply chain department, where you will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager. You will manage the entire operational procurement flow and grow step-by-step into price negotiations and supplier management.

What does your package of tasks look like?

• Following up on the procurement process, from request for quotation to confirmed delivery.
• Placing orders according to internal procedures and following up in SAP.
• Monitoring inventories and reporting shortages or delays in a timely manner.
• Following up with suppliers on price, quality, and delivery reliability.
• Assisting in the preparation of price and contract agreements.
• Making suggestions to make the procurement processes more efficient.

What do we expect from you?

• You are a chemical engineer or have an equivalent chemical education at engineering level.
• You have already built up initial procurement experience in the chemical industry.
• You know SAP well and enjoy working with it daily.
• You communicate fluently in English and preferably also have a basic knowledge of French.
• You are structured, communicative, and enjoy working in a team.
