Credit Controller - International environment

About the company

For an international organization with a family atmosphere in the Mechelen region, we are looking for a driven Credit Controller to strengthen the finance team and take responsibility for the full accounts receivable management of an assigned entity.

Your tasks

What will your package of tasks look like?

• You will perform bank reconciliations, thereby maintaining a complete overview of outstanding receivables and customer files
• You will actively maintain contact with customers to make payment arrangements and professionally resolve arrears
• You will collaborate with local departments to prompt the correct customers and support legal steps and the follow-up of files with the lawyer
• You will regularly prepare reports and discuss them with the financial and site manager to determine the appropriate actions
• You will actively contribute to the further shaping of this new role and propose process optimizations where necessary

Requirements

What do we expect from you?

• You hold a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or an accounting field and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in credit control
• You are analytically strong, work accurately, and maintain your eye for detail even when you need to switch gears quickly
• You have excellent knowledge of French and English, both oral and written
• You work fluently with Excel and are hands-on, eager to learn, and solution-oriented
• Experience in credit management is a great plus
