Legionella Commercial Technical Lead

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 DOE Location: Essex - Hybrid

The Company

An established compliance specialist with over 40 years of industry experience is seeking a commercially driven Legionella Commercial Technical Lead to support the growth of its water hygiene division. This is an exciting opportunity to combine business development expertise with strong technical knowledge in water hygiene and Legionella compliance.

Key Duties

• Identify, develop and secure new commercial and industrial contracts within water hygiene and Legionella compliance.
• Generate leads through networking, prospecting, referrals and industry events.
• Develop existing client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities and expand service offerings.
• Prepare, scope and price technical proposals, tenders, remedial quotations and bids.
• Conduct technical site audits to ensure quality of delivery and compliance with contract specifications.
• Prepare and review complex risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
• Provide expert technical advice on domestic hot and cold water systems, including complex Legionella-related issues.
• Support clients with remedial solutions and technical escalations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in water hygiene, water treatment or Legionella compliance.
• Proven track record in business development and securing commercial contracts.
• Strong technical understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems, ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Experience producing technical proposals, tenders and RAMS.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with technical quality and compliance.
