Associate Flood Risk Engineer

A growing consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Flood Risk Engineer to join their Bristol team.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced Flood Risk Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to work on a varied range of projects and take on more responsibility within the team.

You'll be involved in:

• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Flood risk modelling and supporting technical assessments
• Surface water management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) design
• Working on flood risk and drainage projects from initial stages through to completion
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and other project teams
• Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
• Getting involved in project management and helping to develop client relationships

We're looking for someone with a solid background in flood risk and drainage, with experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and developing SuDS strategies and designs. Experience using Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or similar modelling software would be beneficial, alongside knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.

You'll need to be comfortable managing your own workload, dealing directly with clients and taking responsibility for your projects, while still being part of a close-knit team.
