Asbestos Technical Reviewer

Location: Cardiff | Hybrid Working Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Pro Rata Contract: Permanent | Part-time Hours: Flexible - Open to Discussion An excellent opportunity has become available for a P402-qualified asbestos professional to join the Technical Review Department of a leading UK asbestos consultancy based in Cardiff. This position would suit an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking to move away from full-time fieldwork into a technical, office/hybrid-based position , while continuing to utilise their industry knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for technically reviewing asbestos survey reports before they are authorised and issued to clients, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The Role Technically reviewing asbestos survey reports prior to authorisation Ensuring reports comply with relevant asbestos legislation and industry guidance Checking reports for technical accuracy, quality and consistency Identifying discrepancies or potential issues within reports Providing recommendations for corrective action where required Working closely with Asbestos Surveyors to resolve technical queries Maintaining consistently high standards across client documentation

About You BOHS P402 qualification - essential Strong technical understanding of asbestos surveying and survey reporting Good knowledge of current asbestos regulations and industry best practice Excellent attention to detail Strong spelling, grammar and written communication skills Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines Previous asbestos surveying experience preferred Experience conducting housing surveys would be beneficial CAD and asbestos consultancy experience would be advantageous but is not essential
