English Specialist - EdTech Methodology and Development

PeakSynap is a technology startup founded in Costa Rica and incorporated as a C-Corporation in the United States. We are currently in the pre-launch stage, developing a platform that seeks to use social interaction as a tool to strengthen language learning and practice, starting with English.

We are close to starting a testing and validation stage of the platform with users, so we are looking to add to the project a person with experience in English teaching who wants to participate actively in the construction and evolution of a different EdTech proposal.

The selected person will mainly participate in the development and strengthening of the academic and methodological component of PeakSynap, including the review of the learning experience, definition of criteria and best practices for mentors, creation and review of practice dynamics, evaluation of feedback processes, and evolution of the methodology as we obtain real information from users. We also seek that they can participate actively in team meetings, contribute ideas from their professional experience, and collaborate in the preparation, testing, and validation of the product ahead of its launch.

More than filling a traditional teaching position, we are looking for a person with initiative, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset, interested in getting involved in an early-stage technological project, contributing to its construction, and having the possibility to progressively assume greater responsibilities within the language area as the project grows.

Main responsibilities:

• Contribute knowledge and experience in English teaching.
• Support the development and validation of the practice methodology.
• Define and review guidelines for mentors and sessions.
• Participate in the creation of learning dynamics and experiences.
• Analyze feedback from users and mentors to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in product planning and development meetings.
• Contribute ideas for the evolution of the language area within the platform.
