English Teaching Specialist – EdTech - Education Technology

PeakSynap is a technology startup born in Costa Rica and incorporated as a C-Corporation in the United States. We are currently in the pre-launch stage, developing a platform that seeks to use social interaction as a tool to strengthen language learning and practice, starting with English. We are looking for a person with experience in English teaching who wants to actively participate in the construction and evolution of a different EdTech proposal. The selected person will primarily participate in the development and strengthening of the academic and methodological component of PeakSynap.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide knowledge and experience in English teaching.
• Support the development and validation of the practice methodology.
• Define and review guidelines for mentors and sessions.
• Participate in the creation of learning dynamics and experiences.
• Analyze feedback from users and mentors to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in product planning and development meetings.
• Contribute ideas for the evolution of the language area within the platform.

More than filling a traditional teaching position, we are looking for a person with initiative, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset, interested in getting involved in an early-stage technological project and with the possibility of progressively assuming greater responsibilities as the project grows.

Important: PeakSynap is currently in an early stage and is close to starting its validation phase. The collaboration modality, dedication, and compensation scheme will be negotiated with the selected person according to their availability, responsibilities, and level of participation in the project.
