Role Overview
Why This Is a Great Start to Your Accounting Career: Hands-on experience with core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations
Direct exposure to the month-end close process and financial statement preparation
Practical skills that build a foundation for roles such as Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Financial Analyst
Experience with industry accounting systems and real client financial data

What You’ll Do: Maintain and record business transactions for assigned accounts, including A/P, A/R, and other routine accounting activities
Perform general ledger activities such as journal entries for accruals or expense account reclassifications
Interface with store managers and personnel to ensure efficient store processing, providing timely and accurate data, preparing statements and basic financial reports
Generate and review customer financial statements, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts – including billing, bank statements, and credit card settlements – as part of the period close process
Review and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy and reasonableness, providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented
Follow up on accounting/system issues that affect accounts to ensure proper reporting of financial data
Develop and maintain financial reporting and tracking tools
