▼Introduction of the Financial Strategy Department The Financial Strategy Department supports PayPay's sustainable growth from a financial perspective through M&A, capital policy, capital market response, etc. The members and managers consist of a small, elite team of former investment bankers. While maintaining high standards for logical organization and output quality, there is an environment where each individual can proactively lead entire projects. It is a flat organization where you can work with significant discretion.

▼Background of Recruitment PayPay has achieved a listing on the NASDAQ market, and to achieve further business expansion and growth, the importance of realizing inorganic growth and the capital policy that supports it is increasing further. To strengthen the structure for proactively and continuously driving M&A/investment projects and capital market responses, we are looking for someone in this position who can proactively drive projects in M&A, capital policy, and capital market response while involving internal and external stakeholders.

【Specific Job Description】

In the Financial Headquarters of PayPay, you will be responsible for duties related to financial strategy (capital policy, capital markets, investments, etc.). *The following includes duties that you may be responsible for in the future. *You will be required to work from the Tokyo office (Yotsuya) approximately twice a week.

Formulation and execution of capital policy

Duties related to new issuance and sale of shares, capital increases/decreases, transfers, etc.

Planning, operation, and management of capital market financing (CP, corporate bonds), and interaction with rating agencies

Duties related to M&A and investment projects (deal sourcing, due diligence, contract negotiation, valuation, overall project promotion/management, etc.)

Negotiation and coordination with legal, accounting, and tax advisors, financial institutions such as securities companies, and rating agencies

Required Experience/Skills

Those who have practical experience related to the above job description in any of the following areas (目安: 3+ years): ・Experience in business development, capital and business alliances, etc., at an operating company ・Experience in advisory, coverage, or capital markets at a securities company ・Experience in M&A advisory at a consulting firm, etc.

In addition, those who possess the following skills/experience: ・Basic knowledge of corporate finance, Companies Act, and accounting/taxation related to capital policy and organizational restructuring ・English proficiency at a business level or higher (capable of reading and drafting English disclosure materials/contracts, and conducting meetings in English) ・Communication skills to smoothly coordinate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders ・Execution power to drive projects and meticulousness to pay attention to details ・Experience in utilizing Generative AI in business operations

Desirable Experience/Skills

Experience in negotiation/coordination with external parties in English

Experience or knowledge in using information terminals such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ

Work Location

Hybrid Workstyle (Office, home, or remote work at a satellite office) *Due to the nature of the position, commuting to the Tokyo office will be required a certain number of times irregularly.

Working Hours

Super Flex system (no core time)

Principle: 9:00 AM – 5:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes of actual work + 1 hour break)

Holidays

Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and company-designated days

Leave (Statutory Leave and Company Benefits)

Annual paid leave (14 days in the first year, granted pro-rata depending on the month of joining. Available from the date of joining)

Salary

Annual salary system (includes part of fixed overtime pay)

Determined by company regulations based on experience, skills, performance, and contribution
