Assistant HSE Engineer
Position Summary
Ensure all forms of operation carried out within PaxOcean Singapore is in regulatory compliance to all relevant requirements and industry codes and standards. Uphold all in-house requirements and standards pertaining to HSE governance within yard’s operation. Serves as point of contact for direct liaison of all operational and /or HSE system related matters.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- To carry out implementation of HSE Policy and requirements as established within PaxOcean’s Safety Management System for the purpose of ensuring yard operations are in compliance to all requirements as established by relevant authorities.
- To carry out enforcement of local regulatory requirements from relevant authorities and international best practices from relevant standards on all operations being carried out within PaxOcean’s premises.
- To promote safety awareness & culture amongst the workforce through trainings and other HSE activities in order to achieve an accident-free and healthy work environment.
- To assist organization in achieving higher standard of HSE performance.
- To liaise with external parties and other governmental bodies pertaining HSE matters.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in the shipyard or marine industry.
- Ability to lead and supervise a small team effectively.
- Willingness and ability to work on shifts.
- Ability to plan, conduct and analyse data, including identifying trends and patterns.
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis using established investigation techniques.
