Your tasks

You will lead your team's daily work and ensure that the production plan is implemented within your area of responsibility safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed schedules, quality, and production targets. You belong to the production team and report to the Production Manager.

• You lead daily production as well as monitor and report the production status.
• You are responsible for shift and resource planning and participate in preparing fine-grained production loading.
• You take care of monitoring working hours and absences, reporting, and approval practices.
• You act as your team's direct supervisor: you plan inductions, conduct supervisor–subordinate discussions, and support skill development.
• You resolve production problem situations and act according to instructions even in situations where the production process needs to be stopped.
• You ensure occupational safety in your management area and take care of reporting deviations.
• You develop the operations of your management area and continuously improve production processes.
• You promote a good working atmosphere by your own example.

You will cooperate with product development, quality, procurement, and production planning. Your external cooperation partners include suppliers as well as technology and development partners.

Requirements

You have a practical and participatory approach to work and a desire to develop production operations together with your team. You communicate clearly and act naturally in cooperation with various stakeholders. Excellent supervisory, cooperation, and teamwork skills will support your success in the role.

• Suitable education for the task, for example, a degree in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering, or other equivalent education.
• Experience in production supervisory work, preferably in manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of collective agreements and the ability to apply them in practice.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards.
• Experience with production and operating methods according to Lean principles.
• Proficiency in Finnish and English.

Knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, and manufacturing is considered an advantage.
