What You’ll Do:

Empower Independence:

Support members with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities.

Build Meaningful Connections:

Foster trust and companionship through respectful, engaging interactions.

Promote Safety & Wellbeing:

Implement behavior support strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively.

Collaborate for Impact:

Work with supervisors and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Advocate with Heart:

Ensure member safety and comfort through attentive and respectful care.

Uphold member rights and dignity at all times.

Role Overview:

Conduct facility tours for prospective families and visitors

Build positive, professional relationships with supported individuals and staff

Create, organize, and maintain program forms and documentation

Support staff in implementing effective teaching strategies to help individuals achieve goals

Assist with developing and coordinating monthly activity calendars

Help maintain appropriate staff-to-individual ratios within the day program

Assist with creating and organizing morning and evening staff routes

Supervise staff and provide coaching/correction regarding behaviors or language not aligned with company policies

Follow established procedures for opening and closing the center

Promptly report operational concerns, incidents, or staffing issues to the DTA Manager

Conduct staff assessments and observations to ensure quality care and compliance with program expectations

Promote a positive, collaborative, and person-centered environment for individuals and staff
