Job Description - FP&A Manager

As part of our strong growth and our new stage as a listed company, we are recruiting an FP&A Manager to strengthen the management team and support the structuring and scaling up of our Finance function.

The position is very operational (hands‑on), with high exposure to the Production, R&D, and Commercial teams, and a key role in ensuring the reliability of figures, business reading, and bringing complex subjects (WIP, production costs, revenue) under control.

Your main missions

1) Business Partnering (Production / R&D / Commercial)

Become the Finance point of contact for the Production, R&D, and Commercial departments (routines, analyses, decision-making).

Drive and improve the bottom‑up budgeting process (construction, challenge, consolidation).

Provide teams with simple and actionable management tools (indicators, dashboards, ad hoc analyses).

Contribute to change management with a pedagogical approach.

2) Monthly reporting for Management & the COMEX

Drive monthly reporting (closing pack / performance review): preparation, analyses, key messages, “so what”.

Produce variance analyses (vs budget, vs forecast, vs N‑1) and operational drivers (industry/R&D).

Ensure “executive ready” reporting: synthesis, recommendations, points of attention, and action plans.

3) Business expertise (industry, costs, revenue)

Acquire a deep understanding of cost drivers (production, supply, quality, R&D) and valuation mechanisms.

Inform strategic decisions based on reliable operational data (capex/opex, make vs buy, ramp‑up, etc.).

Contribute to the robustness of analyses and positions in connection with audit needs (without being the accounting team).

4) Documentation & “Finance playbook”

Build and maintain an FP&A playbook: KPI definitions, calculation rules, data dictionary, forecast assumptions.

Formalize scalable processes (calendar, responsibilities, controls, templates) to secure quality and deadlines.

Transform analyses into reusable assets: one‑pagers, guides, models, checklists (handover + onboarding).

Contribute to defining tooling needs (ERP/EPM/BI) and the FP&A roadmap.

Priority projects

Monitoring production work in progress (Work in Process – WIP).

Calculation and analysis of production costs / COGS.

Ensuring the reliability of revenue recognition (Sales/Delivery/Finance interfaces, data consistency).

This list is not exhaustive and will evolve with the growth and structuring of the Finance organization.

About you

Master's in Corporate Finance (or equivalent).

5+ years of experience in management control / FP&A, ideally in an industry / hardware / R&D or scale‑up environment.

Proactive, autonomous, delivery-oriented profile: you like to move topics forward, clarify, decide, and execute.

Ability to navigate between fine analysis and COMEX synthesis (financial storytelling).

Comfortable with systems (ERP/EPM/BI), excellent Excel level; appetite for automation and AI.

Fluent English, written and spoken.

Appreciated bonus: startup/scale‑up experience, audit/IPO readiness, process structuring, implementation of reporting.

Why apply?

A key role at the heart of the Finance transformation in a deeptech scale‑up.

High exposure to Management / COMEX and a direct impact on decisions.

A very concrete playground (industry, WIP/COGS, revenue), with a lot of autonomy. Terms A flexible rhythm of presence (2-3 days of teleworking per week or in our offices in Paris).
