Technical Parts Sales Executive
Job Summary
This hands-on role combines technical parts identification, customer service, sales, inventory management, and warehouse operations to support customer needs and business growth in technical spare parts.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, and messaging platforms
- Identify correct spare parts using customer descriptions, photographs, chassis numbers, VINs, OEM part numbers, technical drawings, or physical samples
- Prepare accurate quotations and follow up with customers on outstanding quotations
- Recommend suitable genuine, OEM, or aftermarket alternatives based on customer requirements
- Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely order fulfilment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to support repeat business
- Provide responsive and professional after-sales support to resolve customer issues
- Develop new customer accounts and identify new business opportunities to grow sales
- Support warehouse and inventory activities including goods receiving, picking and packing orders, stock replenishment, and inventory recording
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including quotations, sales orders, delivery orders, purchase orders, and shipping documents
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and digital productivity tools including ChatGPT to enhance work efficiency
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Technical knowledge or experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or spare parts
- Experience with commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical products
- Ability to identify parts and solve technical problems systematically
- Good written communication skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn
