We are currently looking for a Pre-project Engineer (M/F) for one of our clients located in Charleville-Mézières, specializing in the design of high-tech special industrial equipment.

Reporting to the Pre-project department, you will study commercial requests to define the overall machine concept (analysis of specifications, client specifications, volumes, deadlines, and feasibility). You will determine the appropriate technical processes and collaborate with internal departments (BE, automation, purchasing, process, production) to validate your choices. You will perform the complete costing of projects (materials, design/manufacturing time, labor, tooling, subcontracting, logistics). You will calculate cost prices and margins according to factory capacities, maintain cost databases, and participate in the creation of a global costing tool. You will draft technical offers, present costings to sales representatives, and adjust amounts during negotiations.

Finally, you will analyze the variances between estimates and actual costs to optimize future costings.

Permanent contract (CDI), daytime hours: Monday to Thursday (7:30 AM-12:00 PM / 12:45 PM-4:00 PM) and Friday (7:30 AM-12:00 PM). Holding an Engineering degree or a Master's degree (bac+5) with a technical focus, you have significant experience in an industrial environment. You are proficient in office tools, ERPs, CAD software, as well as reading mechanical and electrical drawings.

You possess solid knowledge in mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, and industrial costing methods (cost analysis, value analysis). A good level of English (written and oral) is essential to operate in this international context.

Rigorous, autonomous, and possessing strong analytical skills, you know how to prioritize your actions to meet commitment deadlines. Curious and team-oriented, you demonstrate excellent communication skills to act as a link between the various internal departments and the sales team.

An attractive annual compensation between 39,000 EUR and 45,000 EUR gross over 13 months, adjusted according to your experience.

The benefits package includes a holiday bonus, a performance bonus, profit sharing, a PEI/PERCOI, 90% coverage of family health insurance, a company restaurant, supplementary pension, allowances and bonuses during occasional business travel (distance, weekends), as well as CSE benefits.
