Bar Supervisor

At Pariwana Hostel Cusco, we are looking for talent to occupy the position of Bar Supervisor and join our team.

We are looking for a person with experience in the Bar area, leadership capacity, organization, and service orientation, who can contribute to the correct functioning and development of the area.

What will your main functions be?

• Plan, organize, and assign functions and schedules to the staff and volunteers of the Bar area.
• Participate in the selection, induction, and training processes of the team.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of bartenders and volunteers, providing timely feedback.
• Prepare and organize the schedules of the staff and volunteers of the area.
• Daily supervise the bars, restaurant tables, terrace, and/or patios, guaranteeing order, cleanliness, and the correct functioning of the mise en place.
• Verify compliance with opening and closing shift procedures, as well as petty cash management.
• Perform cash audits and inventory closures.
• Supervise product expiration dates.
• Request the purchase of equipment and necessary implementations to optimize the functioning of the area.
• Boost the sale of food and beverages through promotions and activities.
• Prepare and update the beverage menu.
• Standardize recipes and define the corresponding glassware for cocktails.
• Support the costing of drinks and the control of the profit margin.
• Request advertising material from the Marketing area.
• Manage activities that generate impact in the Bar area.
• Represent the Pariwana culture during events and in the different social areas.
• Attend to and resolve incidents with guests or bartenders, referring them to the Administrator when necessary.
• Guarantee compliance with safety and hygiene conditions in the preparation of beverages.
• Ensure the efficient use of resources and the adequate control of shrinkage.
• Prepare the reports requested by the Administrator.
• Supervise the proper use of EPP by the staff of the area.
• Actively participate in training, drills, and other activities related to Occupational Health and Safety (SST).

What are the requirements you must meet?

• Attitude, leadership, and passion for customer service.
• 02 years of experience in the Bar area.
• Experience leading or supervising work teams. (If this is indeed a requirement, I would add it because it helps differentiate the position from a bartender.)
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 4:00 p. m. to 1:00 a. m. and Saturdays from 5:00 p. m. to 2:00 a. m.
• Advanced English.
