For our client, we are looking for a Project Technologist Product Development (m/f/d) in Jena, effective immediately. Your Tasks

• Collaboration in the development of manufacturable product designs within the framework of product development
• Collaboration in the development of manufacturing strategies for device and component assembly / system integration
• Collaboration in the design transfer from product development to series production
• Testing of assembly, adjustment, and testing concepts together with development during the prototype phase
• Collaboration in specifying and implementing workstations, manufacturing equipment, testing tools, and manufacturing software in preparation for the pre-series
• Sub-project management for a relocation project from Germany to China in the field of ophthalmological medical products
• Holistic coordination of all OPS topics in close coordination with R&D
• Interface function to the local Chinese team as well as to central functions at the German locations
• Ensuring a smooth flow of information between the involved departments and locations
• Creation of regular project reports within the specified framework
• Acting within existing reporting structures and hierarchies
• Willingness to undertake international business trips (especially to China)

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Technology (m/f/d), Industrial Engineering (m/f/d), Product Development (m/f/d), or comparable
• Experience in project management, ideally in an international environment
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing, Chinese language skills are an advantage
• Basic technical understanding and willingness to familiarize yourself with relevant products and processes
• Understanding of escalation levels and confident handling of escalation paths
• High level of comprehension and a structured, independent way of working
• Strong networking skills and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
• Willingness to travel and flexibility in a dynamic project environment (several days at other company locations in the EU or abroad)
