Required Skills and AbilitiesStrong hands-on skills and experience with tile installationMeasure accurately and calculate tile quantitiesRead and follow measurements, layouts, and installation instructionsSkilled in cutting and fitting ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other types of tilePrepare surfaces properly, including leveling and waterproofingKnowledge of proper use and application of mortar, thin-set, adhesive, grout, and caulkingCreate clean, straight, and properly aligned tile layoutsMake precise cuts around corners, edges, fixtures, outlets, drains, and other obstaclesInstall tile on floors, walls, backsplashes, showers, and other surfacesIdentify and correct uneven surfaces or installation issuesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipWork independently and manage tasks efficientlyTroubleshoot problems and find practical solutions on siteWork safely and properly use hand and power toolsGood physical ability to kneel, bend, stand, lift, and work for extended periodsMaintain a clean and organized work areaReliable, responsible, and able to meet project timelinesGood communication and teamwork skillsQualificationsPrevious tile installation experience requiredRelevant trade experience or training is an assetExperience with residential renovation projects is an assetValid driver's licence is an assetOwn tools are an assetPosition DetailsContract / temporary/permanent positionWork available based on project requirementsProjects are primarily located in Regina and surroundHours and duration may vary depending on projects
