Quality Control / QC Technician (Manufacturing) - 1 Year Contract Renewable
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Quality Control Technician to support material quality inspections, finished-goods inspection and packaging, failure analysis, documentation control, and quality performance monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures. Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for: Performing incoming material quality inspections and working with vendors to resolve non-conformity issues. Acting as a backup for finished-goods outgoing quality inspection and packaging activities. Preparing quality documents for shipment when the main Quality Control Inspector is unavailable. Supporting outgoing inspection and packaging activities as instructed by the supervisor. Conducting field-return sample inspections and in-process defect or sample failure analysis when required. Chasing and coordinating the return of materials that do not meet quality requirements. Performing document control activities, including document review and revision, document circulation, training coordination, retention of hard-copy and electronic documents. Maintaining housekeeping in the document storage area. Performing adhoc tasks assigned by the supervisor. Conducting GP compliance screening for incoming materials and performing XRF inspections. Performing failure analysis on physical products and quality data. Reviewing and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance. Key Requirements At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within an electronics manufacturing environment, preferably with experience as QC staff. Understanding of and hands-on experience with: ISO 9001, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), 8D Methodology, Technical drawings Experience operating a measurement microscope. Ability and willingness to work while wearing cleanroom coveralls or a cleanroom jumpsuit. Willingness to work overtime when required. Ability to work independently and handle unforeseen circumstances. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Fluency in spoken and written English. Education Requirement NITEC or above in a relevant technical, engineering, manufacturing, quality, or related discipline. Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail. Good understanding of quality control and inspection processes. Knowledge of quality management and problem-solving methodologies. Ability to conduct inspections, failure analysis, and quality data reviews. Familiarity with measurement microscopes and XRF inspection. Strong documentation and document-control skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Willingness to learn and develop new skills. Adaptability and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, supervisors, and internal teams. Ability to manage competing priorities and complete tasks accurately.
