Communications Engineer - AVA Resorts Cancún

We are looking to add a proactive Communications Engineer to our IT team to ensure the optimal operation, availability, and security of our corporate network infrastructure.

Provide level 1 and 2 support, manage LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi network infrastructure, and implement new connectivity projects at our property to maintain business continuity.

Education: Bachelor's degree or Engineering in Telecommunications, Electronics, Systems, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years providing support to networks and communications equipment.

Language: Intermediate English level (conversational and technical).

Indispensable technical knowledge:

• Configuration and administration of Cisco and Aruba Switches/Routers (VLANs, VTP, Port-Channel, Spanning Tree, RADIUS, SSH, SNMP).
• Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Management of enterprise wireless networks (Cisco Meraki and Aruba).

Desirable:

• Cisco CCNA (R&S) certification.
• Experience administering Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
