R&D MANAGER - ROV & Subsea Survey Operations

Position: R&D Manager – ROV & Subsea Survey Operations Job Summary Lead research and development initiatives for ROV and subsea survey technologies to enhance project efficiency, safety, and performance. Manage R&D projects and collaborate with operations and technical teams to advance subsea survey systems and capabilities. Responsibilities Conduct research and evaluate new technologies relevant to offshore, subsea, survey, positioning, and ROV operations to identify innovation opportunities Develop and implement technical solutions that improve operational efficiency, systems, and processes Lead R&D projects by planning, testing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and methods Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and technical teams to diagnose technical challenges and deliver effective solutions Liaise with technology providers, equipment manufacturers, and external partners to support R&D initiatives Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, specifications, and recommendations for management decision-making Monitor industry and technology trends to inform the company’s long-term ROV and subsea technology development strategy Maintain comprehensive R&D documentation, procedures, and project records to ensure knowledge retention and compliance Preferred competencies and qualifications Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline Interest or knowledge in offshore, marine, subsea, ROV, survey, or positioning technologies Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to evaluate technical information and develop practical solutions Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
