Become part of a brand new department, and keep track of systems and processes

For Mayekawa Nordic A/S, we are seeking a Production Technical Supporter with a focus on keeping the systems running and getting things finished.

Mayekawa Nordic A/S has once again asked us to find the right person for an important function. They are looking for a Production Technical Supporter who can create/maintain structure, support development, and be an important link in the technical everyday life.

Mayekawa Nordic A/S is headquartered in Middelfart and serves as the Nordic development center for the Japanese group Mayekawa. The company develops industrial refrigeration systems and heat pumps and is particularly known for the mCHILLER series, which uses the natural refrigerant ammonia and thereby achieves high energy efficiency and sustainability.

The department you are entering does not exist yet. It must be built from the ground up, and you will be one of the first two in place, namely a leader and yourself. The leader sets the direction and builds the framework, and together you will carry the daily work in the systems and keep them running. You are very good with the tools, and you thrive with them. And because the department is so new, you will help shape it as it is created.

Since there will be a need to visit the production unit in Serbia, you should expect up to 25 travel days per year.

Responsibilities You keep track of what needs to be in order for the rest to function. The responsibility is yours:

  • Finalize and adjust 3D models for production purposes.
  • Manage drawing packages and lists.
  • Structured organization of items and codes.
  • Building and maintaining parts lists and BOM lists.
  • Maintenance of product manuals.
  • Working in the ERP and PDM systems.
  • Description of sub-elements so they are understandable for production.

Work tasksMuch of your responsibility and work lies on the execution level, close to the drawings and tools:

  • CAD automation and workflows in practice.
  • Create, update, and release drawings.
  • From prototype to production model, up to the final test before handover.
  • Supplier contact and purchasing specifications.

Professional competencies You likely have a background as a marine engineer, production technologist, or something similar. You have worked with design before, and if you have also had your hands in the production side, it is a clear plus.

The department as a whole must master a number of technical areas, and you will carry a good portion of the craftsmanship. This includes Vault and Inventor, including automation and workflows, mechanical design and assembly processes, knowledge of production technology, and experience with ERP and PDM systems. Knowledge of welding, sheet metal processing, pipes, and fittings is an advantage.

Personal competencies You are structured and focused, and you finish things rather than jumping onto the next task. You take initiative when a solution needs to be found, and you do not wait for someone to ask you to do it.

You can work independently and are simultaneously a team player. Yes, it is a cliché, but here it matters. There are only two of you in the department, so you must be able to stand on your own feet individually and at the same time pull in the same direction when it counts.

And you can find your way in an organization that is not yet structured. Because that is exactly what you will be doing: helping to create the structure that is not there yet.

It will be an advantage for you if you have an interest in or experience with working in an international environment, with relations and contacts outside the country's borders. Therefore, it is also essential that you speak English at a high level.

Mayekawa Nordic offers

  • An exciting and independent job with great freedom in the execution of tasks and good opportunities for both personal and professional development.
  • You will be part of a dynamic and committed team where there is an informal tone and a good atmosphere.
  • An attractive salary package, including a pension scheme and health insurance.
  • Flexible working hours that match your travel activities.
  • Opportunity for working from home.

Your primary workplace will be at the office in Middelfart.

Is it you who will keep it all running? Can you see yourself in the systems on a daily basis, with the responsibility for ensuring that data, codes, and parts lists are in order, and with your hands in the drawings all the way from idea to handover? Then we would like to hear from you.

Practical matters The optimal start date is December 1, 2026, but the right candidate means more than the date, so we are happy to wait. There is no fixed application deadline.

We hold interviews continuously and conclude the process when we have found the right person. So if you want to join, get your application sent off.

About MayekawaMayekawa is a family-owned company, founded by Kisaku Maekawa in 1924. Since then, it has grown to be one of the world leaders in industrial refrigeration with more than 4,500 employees distributed across the globe.

The first piston compressor came in 1934. Since then, Mayekawa has continued to work with MYCOM compressor technology, and today MYCOM stands as the strongest name in the industry.

Natural refrigerants have been the focal point from the beginning, because environmental considerations weigh heavily with Mayekawa. Industrial refrigeration is still the core business, but the company also works with equipment for meat processing and with robotics technology.

About Mayekawa Nordic A/SMayekawa Nordic A/S is the development center for standard chillers and heat pumps under Mayekawa Europe. This is where the mCHILLER Series is developed. In 2021, mCHILLER FUGU, a water-cooled ammonia chiller, arrived, and in October 2022, mCHILLER TAKA followed, which is air-cooled.

The organization is flat. One asks when in doubt, and one helps both their team and their leader to make things succeed.

As a new colleague, you will enter a company that is at the forefront of the industry and that looks at the whole person. There is a balance between work and private life.

Mayekawa prioritizes the working environment and supports it with social activities and a free and honest tone of communication, where there is room for fun and to be who you are among colleagues who stay. Those values should ideally match your own.
