At our production site near Chemnitz, we combine scientific excellence with industrial scaling: state-of-the-art fermentation systems, food-compliant processing lines, and a team that acts pragmatically and quickly. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Production Worker (m/f/d) to support daily plant operations, starting immediately.

The Role

In this role, you will support the operation of our fermentation plant as well as all associated processing steps. You will work closely with an experienced process management team and will be trained in our plants, processes, and quality standards.

The role is strongly operational in nature, with a focus on operating equipment, preparing materials, and supporting ongoing production. Working hours are initially within standard daytime working hours; in the medium term, openness to late and occasional weekend shifts will be appreciated.

Your Main Tasks

• Preparation of fermentation media (weighing, mixing, heating, handling raw materials)
• Operation of fermentation plants and associated machinery
• Support of downstream process steps (emptying plants, processing biomass)
• Operation of our food processing line and associated equipment
• Monitoring of basic process parameters (e.g., temperature, time, fill levels)
• Cleaning and disinfection of plants (CIP systems and manual cleaning)
• Ensuring cleanliness, order, and safety in the production area
• Documentation of basic production activities and reporting of deviations or problems

Your Profile

• Practical experience in food and beverage production or comparable production environments
• Confidence in performing physical labor, operating machines and equipment in production
• Careful, reliable, and quality-oriented way of working
• Interest in food production and fermentation processes
• Ability to work in a team and clear communication in the production environment
• Basic knowledge of English

Desirable

• Experience in a brewery, dairy, or fermentation-based production
• Technical or vocational training in a relevant field
• Knowledge of hygiene regulations and food safety
• Experience with CIP systems or industrial cleaning processes
• Basic knowledge of German
