Pacific Northwest Kennels is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and dog-savvy individual to join our team as a Part-Time Kennel Attendant.

*Job Summary*

This is a hands-on, physically active position involving dog care and handling, kennel cleaning, janitorial duties, customer service, and communication with management. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who takes initiative, works well independently and as part of a team, and is willing to get involved with whatever needs to be done.

*Responsibilities*

• Safely handle and care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Feed dogs and follow individual care instructions
• Monitor dogs and report health or behavioral concerns
• Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, bowls, equipment, and facility areas
• Pick up dog waste and maintain clean indoor and outdoor areas
• Assist with client check-ins and check-outs
• Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and management
• Follow facility procedures and safety protocols

*Who we are looking for*

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking individual
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to a team
• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments and breeds
• Comfortable with the less glamorous parts of kennel work, including cleaning and picking up waste
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including food bags and supplies
• Professional, observant, detail oriented and able to communicate effectively
• Previous experience working with dogs is an asset

*Availability*

Approximately 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours during long weekends, statutory holidays, peak periods, and busy seasons.

Applicants must be willing and able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and both morning and afternoon/evening shifts. Flexibility is an important part of this position, as kennel operations require coverage throughout the week, 365 days a year.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
