Location: Canary Wharf, East London Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 Sector: Heritage / Restoration / Refurbishment

A long-established specialist main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a high-quality heritage and restoration project in Canary Wharf.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and subcontractors
• Deliver works to programme, specification and quality standards
• Coordinate trades, labour, materials and deliveries
• Manage heritage, restoration and refurbishment works
• Review drawings, specifications and RAMS
• Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging
• Monitor progress and report against programme
• Lead daily briefings and toolbox talks
• Maintain site records and daily reports
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
• Manage site logistics within a busy London environment
• Assist with project handover and completion

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager
• Heritage, restoration, refurbishment or specialist construction background
• Experience working for a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
• Strong communication and organisational skills
