Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor £8m Commercial Refurbishment | 12-Month Contract | Site Based
A Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager is required to take commercial ownership of an £8m commercial refurbishment project , covering both pre-construction and the live construction phase.
This is not a pure office fit-out role. The project includes externals, roofing, façades, refurbishment, internals and CAT A office fit-out , so strong general construction knowledge is essential.
The Role
- Review the design and refurbishment requirements and develop the scope and initial costs
- Take the project from pre-construction into delivery, managing the commercials throughout
- Prepare tender packages, assess subcontractor costs and recommend appointments
- Manage POs, subcontractor accounts, variations and monthly valuations
- Review and manage the main contract and provide commercial reporting
- Work closely with the Project Manager and site team on a daily basis
Requirements
- Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager experience
- Strong construction and refurbishment background
- Experience across externals, roofing and façades
- D&B commercial office / CAT A fit-out experience
- Able to work fully site-based and take ownership of the commercial function
