Senior Residential Support worker
CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL TEAM LEADER/SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER Lancaster £41,346 per annum – including an average of just 8 sleep-ins per month Full manual UK driving licence essential No sponsorship available I’m currently supporting a well-established specialist care organisation with the recruitment of a Team Leader for a children’s residential service in Lancaster. We’re particularly keen to speak with experienced senior support workers / team leaders who have a background supporting people with Learning Disabilities , whether that experience has been within children’s services or young adult services . This could be a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their experience to make a genuine difference while progressing within a well-supported organisation. The role will involve:
- Leading and supporting a team of care staff
- Supporting young people with complex needs and developing independence
- Monitoring care plans and contributing to reports
- Supporting the management team with day-to-day running of the service
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Planning activities and supporting positive outcomes
- Providing guidance, encouragement and consistency to the wider team
- Approximately 8 sleep-ins per month
We’re ideally looking for someone with: Previous experience within children’s residential care, or strong LD experience with young adults Experience in a senior/support or team-leading capacity Level 3/4 qualification in Children’s Residential / Children’s Workforce or relevant equivalent Strong understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support A genuine passion for supporting people with additional needs Full manual UK driving licence
