Operational Buyer

Your tasks

You ensure a smooth material flow to production and manage the operational purchasing of parts and materials.

• You convert needs from MRP and other departments into purchase orders in the ERP system, according to the negotiated terms.
• You follow up on orders and coordinate with suppliers, planning, and production in case of delays or other issues to find a solution.
• You monitor inventory and seek a balance between availability and inventory costs.
• You search for and select suppliers and contribute to building a reliable international network for various technical product categories.
• You request quotations, compare prices and terms, and negotiate prices, commercial agreements, and contracts.
• You handle faulty or non-conforming parts and arrange returns.
• You keep prices, lead times, and delivery terms correct and up-to-date in the ERP system.
• You collaborate with the purchasing team at the Belgian headquarters on cost savings and the sourcing strategy.
• You want to further develop yourself and learn quickly.
• You possess strong communication skills in English and Romanian.
• A technical education is a plus.
• Experience as a buyer is a plus.
