About the company
Role Overview Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support an established engineering contractor on a major industrial site in Ayrshire, Scotland. This is an initial 3–6 month contract opportunity, supporting the commercial management and delivery of ongoing engineering works. Key Responsibilities
Your tasks
- Manage commercial and contractual aspects of site-based projects.
- Prepare and review valuations, variations and applications for payment.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors and project teams.
- Support cost reporting, forecasting and commercial documentation.
- Identify and manage commercial risks throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within an industrial, mechanical or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration.
- Experience managing variations, valuations and project costs.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently within a site-based project team.
