Laboratory Technician Permanent Excellent Salary Monday - Thursday 7.30 am to 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 am to 12:00 pm Leicester Laboratory Technician Job Description To ensure product integrity conforms to customer and specification requirements before release Offer technical support to internal and external customers Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in the correct condition for use and is regularly calibrated. Liaise with other departments to prioritise batches of in-process and finished parts for testing through the laboratory. To maintain company quality standards in line with the Quality manual and NADCAP requirements Be an interactive team player, promoting and being part of continual improvement, departmental multi-skilling and training to achieve world-class standards To assist in the training of Fastening Systems personnel as required Ensure all areas of control are kept in a tidy and professional manner Laboratory Technician Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications Experience carrying out metallurgical testing on a range of metals. Confident carrying out multiple types of testing such as tensile, hardness, and fatigue testing – doesn’t have to be all of them, as they will get training in all areas. Happy to learn and pick up elements of the quality management system (NADCAP) Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment. Experience of operating mechanical testing machines.
