Product Safety Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness Contract Length: 12 Months Hours: 37 hours per week (standard hours with potential overtime) Working Pattern: 2-3 days per month onsite Hourly Rate: £55.31 PAYE or £74.68 Umbrella IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Vacancies: 4 Positions Available

We are currently recruiting for multiple Principal Product Safety Engineers to support a major defence programme within the submarine sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile engineering project, providing product safety expertise across complex and safety-critical systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety requirements are identified, assessed and managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• Experience within Product Safety, Safety Engineering or Systems Safety.
• Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and safety documentation.
• Ability to work within complex engineering or highly regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Defence, marine, nuclear, aerospace or other safety-critical industry experience would be advantageous.
