At Outokumpu Avesta, we are now seeking a Process Group Manager for Finishing (L2000/L13). Here, you will hold a key role in one of our central production sections where operational leadership, safety, and continuous improvement are in focus.

About the role

As Process Group Manager for L2000/L13, you are responsible, together with your colleague, for leading and developing the operations section so that it reaches agreed goals. You work closely with Produktionschef KBR and serve as a deputy, both for them and for other process group managers, as needed. In your daily work, you are an important link between operations and maintenance and participate in the planning and prioritization of actions within your area of responsibility, as well as within other parts of KBR if necessary.

Working hours are scheduled as continuous daytime according to a rotating schedule that includes both weekends and major holidays, distributed between two people.

The schedule you will work according to is:

• Working hours: 06.00–16.00 (flexitime is available)
• Work 7 days followed by 7 days off
• For example, start Tuesday morning and end Monday afternoon

The role involves broad responsibility ranging from work environment and personnel management to ensuring stable operation, good quality, and continuous improvement work. You lead the work both in the daily production flow and during various types of production stops, while simultaneously driving the implementation of Outokumpu's management system.

Your responsibilities

You have overall responsibility for your production section, the employees in the team, and the function of the production plant.

This includes, among other things, that you:

• lead and plan the work for your personnel
• are responsible for the work environment and external environment according to the delegation order
• ensure that instructions, safety regulations, and routines are followed and developed
• drive and prioritize improvement initiatives
• coordinate resources within the production section
• work actively with competence development in the team
• lead the work during planned and unplanned stops

Who are you?

You thrive on being close to the operations and have a natural ability to engage and lead others. We would prefer if you have an engineering education, for example in materials technology or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience from a similar process industry.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• experience in production, preferably within heavy industry
• previous experience in a managerial or leadership role
• good knowledge of English in speech and writing

As a person, you are analytical, practical, and attentive. You have a clear focus on safety and quality, are structured and responsible, and thrive in an environment where tasks and conditions can shift. You collaborate well with others and communicate in a way that creates trust and clarity.
