Assistant Teacher - Part time/ Contract
About the company
The client is an after-school care centre located at Redhill, providing care services to Primary 1 to 5 students under the MindSpace by MindChamps brand.
Your tasks
Deliver engaging after-school care and enrichment programs for primary school children, ensuring their academic progress, safety, and positive development in alignment with centre policies and philosophy.
- Implement the class program following the centre’s policies, guidelines, framework, and philosophy
- Guide primary school children (Primary 1 to 6) to complete daily homework assignments
- Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and address their individual educational and developmental needs
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources and ensure the classroom environment is well-arranged and conducive to learning
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and parents to support student development
- Conduct MindChamps unique enrichment programmes to enhance learning experiences
- Demonstrate creativity and a positive mindset as an inspiring role model for children
- Apply positive discipline techniques consistently to promote constructive behavior
- Ensure the safety and timely transfer of students from school to the student centre
- Monitor and maintain the safety of children within the premises
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Centre Director or Manager
Requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in any discipline
- Experience teaching primary school students is advantageous
- Ability to guide students in primary school subjects
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated to learn and grow with the company
- Creative with a positive and loving disposition
- Undergraduates are welcome
