The Examination Office is responsible for the administration, organization, and coordination of examinations for approximately 10,000 students. In the examination management system FlexNow, approximately 80,000 study and examination achievements are managed per semester. The IT department is responsible for the configuration of statutory requirements. Using a graphical interface, this data is maintained, updated, and optimized on a semester basis. Stylesheets for printed materials are created and further developed in XSL.

Your tasks:

  • Support in the coordination and alignment of various internal and external interfaces, e.g., during system adjustments and update/release procedures, in the analysis, documentation, and further development of processes, in the migration of processes from other systems, in the new development and introduction of processes, or regarding requirements for interfaces as well as their adaptation and expansion, particularly when connecting external systems (e.g., HisinOne, BAULA) to FlexNow
  • Creation and adaptation of SQL statements for quality assurance and validation of data, for targeted data collection and evaluation, and to support the adaptation of interfaces and system configurations
  • Creation and adaptation of stylesheets based on XML and XSLT for the design and optimization of PDF outputs and for the adaptation and further development of user interfaces
  • Processing, supporting, and solving demanding support requests from users through the analysis of complex error patterns and technical requirements
  • Supporting the management level in the introduction of the modern campus management system HISinOne, particularly with regard to the integration and interaction with the existing system FlexNow

Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker/in (m/f/d) or a degree with a Bachelor, Master, Diploma (FH or University), preferably in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, or a comparable course of study; alternatively equivalent skills and experience
  • Sound IT and DV knowledge, especially in handling databases and web-based applications
  • Proven practical knowledge of SQL and XML/XSLT
  • Knowledge of relevant applications, especially FlexNow and HISinOne, Typo3 and Moodle, is an advantage
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and solution-oriented skills as well as quick comprehension and transfer thinking
  • Independent, structured, and precise way of working with confidence in handling complex issues
  • High degree of responsibility, reliability, and trustworthiness as well as strong resilience and flexibility
  • Diplomatic and negotiating-capable appearance as well as confident, binding, and target-group-oriented communication
  • Strong service and customer orientation with high standards for quality and solution orientation
