Your tasks

• As a sub-project manager, you will take on the technical leadership of the project team in the area of spatial coordination and ensure smooth coordination of all involved trades.
• Using modern 3D-CAD software, you will coordinate the spatial integration of equipment, piping systems, ventilation systems, and cable trays, thereby creating the foundation for efficient and collision-free ship construction.
• In direct exchange with classification societies, flag state authorities, customers, and suppliers, you will clarify technical requirements and ensure their consideration in the design.
• You will also keep an eye on external design partners: Through technical supervision and targeted management, you will ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of design services.
• As a central interface between design and manufacturing, you will promote close cooperation and ensure that technical solutions can be implemented in a practical manner.
• Responsibility for deadlines, costs, and project hours also lies in your hands. With forward-looking planning and targeted management, you will contribute significantly to the economic success of the sub-projects.

Requirements

These skills indicate a perfect fit

• Your professional foundation is a completed further training as a technician in the field of shipbuilding technology, mechanical engineering, or supply technology, or a completed engineering degree in the field of shipbuilding and marine technology, maritime technology, mechanical engineering, or ship operation technology.
• You bring sound professional experience in the spatial coordination of complex ships and are familiar with the technical requirements of different trades in shipbuilding.
• You are confident in using 3D-CAD design software and ideally have knowledge of ShipConstructor.
• Initial experience in project management as well as in the technical leadership and coordination of project teams is desirable.
• Thanks to good technical English skills, you can communicate confidently with international customers, suppliers, and project partners.
• A confident appearance, assertiveness, and an independent, structured way of working characterize you and help you to drive even complex projects forward in a goal-oriented manner.
