• Your professional basis is a completed engineering degree, for example in shipbuilding and marine technology, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical field, supplemented by the qualification as a welding engineer.
• Through your several years of professional experience in shipbuilding or maritime steel construction, you know the challenges of demanding manufacturing and assembly processes from practical experience.
• You are well acquainted with welding technology and shipbuilding standards and regulations and bring sound knowledge of relevant welding processes and materials.
• You move confidently in exchange with classification societies and know what is important when accompanying testing, manufacturing, and acceptance processes.
• Experience in quality assurance as well as with relevant testing methods, especially non-destructive testing (NDT), complements your know-how.
• Personally, you convince through a structured and independent way of working, enjoyment of cross-disciplinary cooperation, and the ability to coordinate technical topics confidently in English.

These tasks await you:

• By creating and maintaining welding procedure specifications (WPS), testing plans, and acceptance documents, you create a reliable basis for high-quality and traceable manufacturing processes.
• As a competent contact person, you support the production planning and manufacturing departments with welding technology questions and bring your expertise directly into practical implementation.
• From block construction to pipe installation and outfitting, you accompany exciting manufacturing and assembly processes and ensure that specifications are reliably implemented.
• In the coordination of non-destructive testing (NDT), you work closely with classification societies and quality assurance and contribute to successful tests and acceptances.
• You actively pass on your knowledge by providing technical guidance to personnel and advising design on welding technology and manufacturing-oriented solutions.
• Your expertise is also required for audits: you prepare them carefully, accompany their execution, and thereby support the sustainable securing of high quality standards.
