University Lecturer in Social Work/Child Welfare
About the position At the Department of Social Sciences, there is a vacant temporary position as a University Lecturer in social work/child welfare until 31.07.2027. With a location in central Oslo, the study program uses the city as an arena for learning, focusing on, among other things, ethnic affiliation, human and cultural diversity, social sustainability, human rights, diverse family and living patterns, substance abuse and violence issues, and the importance of expression and participation for mental and physical health. The department has 90 employees, approximately 1500 students, is located centrally in Oslo, and represents the largest professional environment in Norway within the social science field. Tasks teaching in social work/and or child welfare supervision and follow-up of students in practice teaching in skill training and communication grading and examination pedagogical development work academic-administrative tasks Qualification requirements You must have master's level education relevant to social sciences bachelor's in child welfare or social work good communication skills written and oral in both Norwegian and English good collaboration skills pedagogical competence in accordance with OsloMet's guidelines ( https://ansatt.oslomet.no/utdanningsfaglig-kompetanse ) good pedagogical skills. You should have in-depth knowledge of welfare services with a particular focus on NAV and/or child welfare relevant experience from different types of welfare services competence in supervision good ability to motivate and inspire our students good ability to coordinate both academic and administrative tasks ability to work independently ability to work in interdisciplinary collaboration great professional engagement, with a genuine interest in developing the field good digital competence

From the salary, statutory contributions to Statens pensjonskasse are deducted. For particularly well-qualified applicants, higher salary may be considered.
