Fixed-term contract (CDD) - 6 months - based in Lyon (69)

Reporting to the R&D Development Manager, you will be responsible for conducting research for the development of processes for the production of recombinant proteins for new vaccine candidates.

Your missions:

• Perform experiments related to the development of recombinant protein purification processes at laboratory scale (chromatography on Akta systems, TFF.).
• Actively participate in laboratory organization by contributing to tidying, stock management, and buffer preparation.
• Analyze experimental data and communicate results through reports and presentations.
• Participate in the writing and updating of technical protocols as well as the monitoring of the department's equipment.
• Know how to organize activities within the given deadlines according to priorities autonomously, and participate in laboratory management.
• Ensure the traceability of experiments by maintaining laboratory notebooks.

Your profile:

• Education: Bachelor's to Master's degree (BAC+3 to +5) in biochemistry/biotechnology; you have a first professional experience in recombinant protein purification. Professional experience within a company specializing in process development would be a plus.
• Hard skills: Mastery of bacterial lysis and extraction techniques, purification techniques (affinity, CIEX, HIC..), ÄKTA type (Cytiva) chromatography systems, and tangential flow filtration dialysis techniques.

Ideally, also mastery of biochemical characterization tools and techniques (SDS-PAGE, Western blot.), and protein assay techniques. Familiar with standard analytical methods (HPLC, DLS.). Technical English in writing.
