Head of Supply Chain Commodities Non-Food (m/f/d) - Strategic Procurement

For our European headquarters in Gersthofen, we are looking for a Head of Supply Chain Commodities Non-Food (m/f/d). This position reports directly to our Supply Chain Director Europe.

What to expect

• Leadership and further development of a specialized two-person team for Non-Food purchasing categories
• Overall responsibility for cost management and security of supply for Non-Food raw materials in Europe
• Strategic further development of the European supplier base for energy, technical gases, logistics, warehousing, packaging materials, chemicals, and protective equipment
• Responsibility for budgets, forecasts, market reports, KPIs, and inventory management
• Development and implementation of cost optimization & value creation initiatives
• Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers
• Continuous market monitoring to ensure competitiveness and security of supply
• Close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Finance, Controlling, Quality, and Sustainability
• Preparation and execution of internal as well as customer-related presentations
• Active participation in the centralization of purchasing activities as well as in Lean Supply Chain initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with relevant EU legislation in the field of Non-Food commodities

What we expect

• Completed university degree in BWL, food technology, agricultural sciences, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in a senior purchasing or sales function
• Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Experience in creating pricing documents as well as in handling financial tools
• Very good MS-Office skills and strong presentation skills
• Very good written and spoken English skills
