Information Security Consultant

Information Security Consultant | £40,000 - £50,000 | Remote UK with client site visits

We're looking for an Information Security Consultant to join a growing team supporting clients across government, defence and the commercial sector.

This is an opportunity for an information security professional with strong auditing and assessment experience to work directly with clients, helping them assess security controls, manage risk and meet compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have previous consultancy experience and the confidence to manage engagements independently from day one.

The Role

• Deliver information security audits, risk assessments and compliance assessments.
• Assess client controls against recognised security standards and frameworks.
• Identify gaps, evaluate risks and recommend appropriate remediation.
• Support clients with their information security and compliance requirements.
• Document findings and present clear, actionable recommendations.
• Manage client engagements and deliverables independently.

About You

• Previous experience in information security, risk and compliance consultancy.
• Practical auditing and assessment experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
• Confident working directly with clients and managing your own workload.
• Government or defence sector experience is advantageous.
• Eligible to obtain UK SC security clearance.
